Okay, food is overpriced in the supermarkets. Avoid all the small stores. There is only one place in this city with a good selection and fair prices: Carrefour (Address: 339 Route Blanche). It is only about 500 meters walk from the skiing apartment. Walk to the Aiguille du Midi and walk through the tunnel under the big road and you will almost be there.
Opening hours are 8.30 until 19.30 all day except Sunday when it closes at 12.30
There is also a spar supermarket just 50 meters from the apartment. It is just so convenient to go there, but it is super overpriced. It might be cheaper to buy your beers in a bar than in that supermarket
